Last month we wrote about the soft opening of Salumeria 2703, Brookland’s new Italian deli is from the owners of Menomale. Now we are happy to see that after a short break they are opening their doors again for their grand opening on Wednesday July 27th.
We are very excited to announce our grand opening date of July 27th! Thank you all for your continued support!
The store sells products imported from Italy such as cheeses, cured meats, and prepared food like fresh made pastas and meals to go made at the deli on site. Salumeria 2703 is located at 2703 12th St. NE, just a few doors down from Menomale. Check out their Facebook page here and on Twitter here.
After months of waiting we were happy to see Salumeria 2703 have its soft opening yesterday. The Italian deli is from the owners of Menomale, Ettore and Maria Rusciano, who converted a former Brookland office space into a retail grocery store with prepared food and a deli on site. The focus will be ingredients imported from Italy such as cheeses, cured meats, combined with fresh made pastas and breads so that patrons can make authentic Italian meals at home. There are also prepared foods to take away. We tried the meat lasagna and it was so, so good. We also got the chance to see pasta being made with their pasta machine, which was imported from Verona, Italy. Check out the pictures we took below. Maria told us that the soft opening means that they aren’t 100% stocked right now and will work out some kinks before having a grand opening and operating at full steam. Salumeria 2703 is located at 2703 12th St. NE, just a few doors down from Menomale. Check out their Facebook page here and on Twitter here.
