Earlier today we wrote about the July party for the Brookland area LGBT group. We now have an update that the event will be a Happy Hour at the area’s newest hot spot, the Dew Drop Inn. There will be Happy Hour specials until 7:30 pm as well as an all night wine special. (The date and time is still the same – Saturday night July 25th starting at 6:00 pm.) The Dew Drop Inn is located at located at 2801 8th St. NE, near the entrance to the Met Branch Trail.
The Brookland Neighborhood Civic Association (BNCA) is hosting a social hour at Steel Plate this Wednesday the 25th from 6pm to 8pm. From Tom Bridge, BNCA President:
Come out, enjoy the company of your neighbors, leave politics on the doorstep, and be reminded how amazing this neighborhood is. Diton from Steel Plate has given us the upstairs for those hours, so we’re excited to see everyone this coming Wednesday evening.
Steel Plate is located at 3523 12th Street NE. See you there!
After a little bit of a summer break the Brookland and Ward 5 LGBT Happy Hour is back. Hopefully we will see a great turn out on Thursday September 25. We will meet at Smith Public Trust from 6-8pm (or longer). Many thanks to Phil Peters, the General Manager of the restaurant, who offers us the bleacher room, or as they call it the Speak Easy Room, with a separate bar and a projection screen.
We are excited to have yet another restaurant in our neighborhood that we can choose for our monthly gatherings. Smith Public Trust is located at 3514 12th St NE. SEE YOU THERE!
