The Friends of Noyes Park (FoNP), launched shortly after the new park was opened in summer 2013. Now that spring is around the corner, they are spearheading the effort to make sure the community gardens at the park are utilized and well-managed.  I spoke with FoNP president Carlos Pinto who asked that anyone interested in the community gardens contact them by Sunday April 13 in order to reserve a spot. There is a suggested $10 donation to cover initial garden costs. He also said they are looking for people with all levels of experience and volunteers who just want to help out are welcome to.

To reserve your spot and ask any questions, contact the FoNP by checking out their website,  Facebook pageTwitter feed,  Call/Text Message: 202-524-0547 or Email: friendsofnoyespark(at)gmail(dot)com.
