Expected to open in January 2014, Potbelly is the latest addition to the group of restaurants that move to the new development. Here is the information Monroe Street Market posted on their Facebook page:

Potbelly will join Monroe Street Market’s exciting list of tenants. Located in the Portland Flats building at the corner of Monroe and 7th Streets NE, Potbelly will open January 2014.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is a fast growing casual eatery that has dine-in and carry out options, and strives to create a local neighborhood feel in each individual shop by adding local quirks and artifacts that reflect the neighborhood of each shop. Potbelly’s 2,200-square-foot location will provide visitors and residents of Monroe Street Market with a comfortable place to stop in for a quick lunch during their busy days. Potbelly will offer outdoor café seating along Monroe Street.

“Potbelly is a fun, high energy eating option for our new residents and business tenants,” said Toby Bozzuto, President, The Bozzuto Group, “Their eclectic style and quality food is just the right compliment to our community.”

      1. I’m just sayin, if they’re gonna do somethin as commercial as potbelly’s I’d rather see a 5 guys. we already have a Subway. I don’t think another sandwich shop is necessary.

        1. Maybe a Five Guys will move in there someday, too. Potbelly is a large corporation, I’m sure they don’t open new locations on a wing and a prayer. You may not think it’s necessary, but they clearly do, vis a vis their bottom line.
