Ward 5 Happy Hour Looks For A New Organizer – How About You?

For the last two years neighbors across Ward 5 have gotten together on the first Thursday of every month under the Ward 5 Happy Hour motto of “Meet Your Neighbors – Support Local – Share a Few Laughs – Why Not?” Unfortunately, we learned through the Ward 5 Happy Hour Facebook page that Jennifer Parker, the organizer of the Happy Hour, is looking to “hand over the reigns”. She cited that “life has gotten too busy…our schedules have gotten out of control and we are looking for someone to take over the management of the Ward 5 Happy Hour.” We would like to thank Jennifer for all the work she has put in to bring neighbors together and spark friendships – she certainly deserves the break! Now we need someone, or some people, to step up and fill the void she will leave behind. In an interview with the Brookland Bridge last August, Jennifer stated that the most rewarding part or organizing the Happy Hours has been meeting “so many amazing people, from all walks of life, who we established very tight friendships with”. Sounds rewarding, doesn’t it? If you are interested contact Jennifer through the Ward 5 Community Happy Hour Face Book page, or email her at Jennifer(dot)parker3(at)yahoo.com.
