Brookland Branding Project Resurfaces At Community Meeting Next Tuesday

There has been an on again/off again Brookland Branding project that was started in 2011 by the DC Office of Planning. The purpose of branding project is to promote Brookland and its identity. The last time I heard about this project was in November 2011 when voting was taking place to decide which of four logos the community prefered. I am glad to see Ward 5 Councilmember McDuffie’s office picked the project back up again. Below is a flyer for an upcoming meeting.Brookland Branding Flyer CM McDuffie

  1. I had often wondered what had happened to this. I’m glad to see it’s back in gear. I remember looking at the four options and thinking that technically the Basilica isn’t in Brookland and that it would be more appropriate to use the Franciscan Monastery but then again perhaps that’s unnecessary hair splitting.
