It’s really exciting to see the growing grassroots arts scene in NE and SE DC. One of these eclectic local venues is Hole In The Sky (HITS) located in nearby Eckington. Billed as a  “DIY, Art, Music and Events” Studio, they will be hosting a DC Art Showcase  and Open Studio tonight, Saturday, March 30th. The HITS Facebook event page describes the showcase/open studio this way:

an evening of art appreciation + creative cross-pollination. Come spend a night drinking beer, checking out the space, examining bikes & mopeds, listening to music, and viewing & buying artwork from a sweet cross-section of local artists who have been invited to adorn the walls with their dope artwork. First 30 attendees get limited edition show posters via Red Table Press. The thing is BYOB…but there will be a kiddie pool full of ice + beer.

Here is a list of the artists that will have art on display:

Chris Bishop , Matt Leunig ,  Matt Corrado Jeffrey Everett , Superwaxx,  Ryan Ford , Anthony Dihle , Rose Jaffe , Graham Boyle, Mensa Kondo, Recurringman,  Sean Berg ,  Nate Lewis , Leah Lewis, Julian Lytle , Saman Bemel-Benrud , Chris Scott ,  Jacob Perkinson, Ricky Taylor, Jonathan Perez, Kendall Cash , Victor Koroma ,  Mike O’Brien ,  Eames Armstrong , Shaunte Gates.
