SpeakeasyDC returns to Dance Place for a third season to celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend, bringing yet another much-anticipated performance of hilarious and moving true stories about romance, infatuation, dating, relationships, and sex.
Speakeasy DC is a nonprofit group that promotes autobiographical storytelling. Last night eight storytellers took the stage at Dance Place and brought the house down with true tales about love that were moving, humerous, endearing, sometimes sad, and each one engaging. There will be another performance of the Sucker For Love show tonight, Saturday February 16 at 8pm, followed by a dance party with DJ Quinntessential. Tickets are general seating and are $25 per person. Even if you can’t make tonight’s show, Dance Place’s performance calendar is worth checking out. There are interesting shows just about every weekend – why go downtown when we have great talent and entertainment steps away? Also, SpeakeasyDC will be back on June 15th, with a Father’s Day Special. Dance Place is located at 3225 8th Street, NE.
