ANC5B Meeting This Wednesday – 901 Monroe Development, Crime, Noyes Park Updates

The Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 5B Monthly Community Meeting will take place this Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. Here is the agenda:

  • Metropolitan Police Department report
  • Community Concerns
  • Director Nicholas Majett, Dept. of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs
  • Noyes Park Overhaul Update by Jackie Stanley, DC Dept. of General Services
  • The 901 Monroe Street (Col. Brooks’ Tavern) Development Team will present their public space plan for this development project

The meeting will take place at the office of ANC 5B, demountable trailer at 1322 Irving Street NE. The officers that make up ANC 5B are as follows:

  • 5B02 Ursula Higgins
  • 5B03 Tiffany Bridge
  • 5B04 Carolyn C. Steptoe

    1. Hi Matt,
      The appeal is still tied up in court. It is my understanding that the demolition was going forward, starting last week, but I haven’t seen any activity to that effect, and I last checked around 10:15 this morning. Hopefully we will learn more at tonight’s meeting.
