The Brookland Bridge is featuring pitbulls for our “Pet Of The Week” this October because it is Pitbull Awareness Month. This week, the last of the month, we are featuring a loveable pit bull in need of a home. Introducing Pepita.
Pepita is in a foster home and up for adoption through the good folks at the Washington Humane Society. From their website:
Miss Peppy is such a love! She is fantastic in a home environment and has beautiful house manners – she is totally trustworthy at home alone, is housebroken, and doesn’t chew anything…she doesn’t even beg! Although she is thrilled to see you when you get home, she doesn’t jump up and she settles very quickly. She is very happy to lay on the floor with you for a tummy rub, or curl up at your feet while you watch a movie or have a lazy Saturday. She is also good on the leash, and she knows sit, go lie down, and to wait nicely for her food. She has a big heart and lots of love to give the world, and will give you dog kisses all day if you’ll take them. She is such a darling, and continues to win over the hearts of everyone she meets!
