Readers may remember our blog post about Brookland Yoga, a new “floating” yoga studio that launched recently. We thought neighborhood Yogis would be interested in knowing that Brookland Yoga has partnered with LATELA to provide yoga classes at the Arts Walk farmer’s market every Saturday starting April 23 through November 12th, at 9:00 am. From the event page:
Join us for a 45 minute awakening slow flow yoga class on Saturdays at the Brookland Farmer’s Market. Stay after class to get some yummy local produce and coffee and chat with your neighbors.
We will begin with a flow, holding our poses for several breaths to create heat in the body, then move into strengthening, and finally into restorative yoga postures to calm the nervous system and rejuvenate the body and the mind. All levels welcome. Please bring your own mat.
Classes are held underneath the arts walk sign on the Monroe Street Market, next to the Brookland-CUA metro bridge just outside of the LATELA store front.
Sign up for the classes here. Check out the Brookland Yoga website here. LATELA is a creative platform that combines art and yoga for positive community growth, and they have an artists studio on the Arts Walk. Check out LATELA’s site here.
PS – if you can’t make the Saturday class, check out Brookland Yoga’s Beer and Yoga class at Right Proper Brewery on Mondays.
