The following information was posted on Brookland’s listserv:
We meet one evening per week during the school year, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at St. Anthony’s School. Scouts meet in dens that are grouped by grade. We also have a number of special fun events that usually occur on the weekend, including Pinewood Derby, Genius Kit Night, overnight camping trips (2 times/year), day hikes, and community service activities. Pack 98 parents are encouraged to be active, by serving as den leaders or assistants, helping with administrative functions, and attending camping trips and other weekend events.
Pack 98 is a welcoming pack and does not discriminate against any potential scout, family, or leader, including based on sexual orientation. Anyone who is committed to the goals of scouting — creating a space where boys can interact positively with other boys, teaching appreciation and respect for nature, and promoting other character values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, and the importance of community service — is encouraged to join.
