Interested in meeting neighbors and growing your own garden? Consider signing up for one of the plots at Noyes Park. Registration for the 2016 growing season will begin on January 15, 2016. From their website:
The Noyes Community Garden has twenty 8’x4’ plots…We are doing things a bit differently this year and will have an open registration period between January 15 and January 31. Should the number of registrants exceed the number of available plots, we will use a lottery system to assign plots. If there are still spaces available after January 31, registration will remain open on a first-come, first-served basis.
To register for a plot, fill out the online registration form which will become available on our NEW website beginning January 15. I will send out a direct link to the form once it has become available. You may also register by sending your name, street address, phone number, and email address to the Friends of Noyes Park (2718 10th St NE, Washington DC 20018) after January 15. Any registrations received prior to January 15 will be disregarded.
Questions or comments regarding the community garden should be directed to garden(at)friendsofnoyespark(dot)org or 202 524-0547. There is a $30 yearly fee to use the plots in Noyes Park and the Park is located at 10th and Franklin Streets, NE.
