Thanks to reader Patrick for reaching out and asking what is being built on the empty lot next to the 7-Eleven at 12th and Otis Streets NE. We did some searching around on the DCRA website and found out that in October 2015 there was a zoning approval for the conversion of three previously existing two-story single family homes on Otis Street “into a three-story + cellar apartment house with 10 dwelling units…ten (10) parking spaces provided on the property and with a parking easement with adjacent lots.”
There is a banner attached to the construction fence for Harbor Builders. There is nothing about the Brookland location on their website site, but we are assuming they will be the ones building out the development. According to their site:
