The good folks of the Rhode Island Avenue NE Main Street will be holding their third annual Fall Fest Saturday. Fall Fest grows every year, and includes live entertainment, local businesses & vendors. Check out event details here. From the website:
For the last 4 years, the Rhode Island Avenue Fall Fest has showcased our beautiful tree-lined commercial district in one of the hottest real estate markets in DC, and has attracted hundreds of visitors for a day full of shopping, food, and entertainment for the whole family. Fall Fest 2015 promises to be bigger and better – more music, more art, more food, and more fun!
We also heard from the Langdon Dog Park Association, which is sponsoring a pooch parade from the dog park in Langdon Park up to the Fall Fest stage at the Mayflower Cab parking lot on RIA. The parade marshal will be Dr. Dan Teich of Brookland’s District Vet and afterward you can enter your dog into contests with fun categories like most glam dog, cutest ugly dog, and dogs who most resemble their owners. Dr. Teich will emcee the contest and the judges include pet exerts from the Big Bad Woof and even a DC dignitary–the Secretary of DC Lauren C. Vaughn. Prizes including up to $100 in pet care services, grooming, treats and more!
The Fall Fest will run along Rhode Island Ave. NE, between 20th and 24th Streets NE on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
