We recently learned from this story in the Washington Business Journal that fast-casual restaurant chain Chipotle was granted a permit to build out a location at nearby Monroe Street Market. From the story:
2,518 square feet on the first floor of the Monroe Street Market. Work will include replacement of storefront doors, new walls, new floors and new ceilings. The restaurant will seat 56, with a total occupancy of 99.
As someone whose life was sustained by at east one burrito a week while in undergraduate school, I would think that this location will be wildly popular with the CUA crowd. We will let you know when we learn of anything new.
