Dance Place  is seeking to turn the  currently empty Kearny Street Alley between their building and the Brookland Artspace Lofts (3305 and 3225 8th Street, NE) into an artistic, playable green space. Some of the proposed ideas for the space on the Dance Place site thus far include:

interactive programming for all ages, including (but not limited to) games, music concerts, movie nights, community gardens, dance presentations, workshops and more.

To contribute your ideas for the Arts Park, take this survey. Also, Dance Place will be presenting their concept for the Arts Park at Wednesday’s ANC meeting and collecting feedback then. Sounds like a cool new asset for the community! The Grand Opening of the park is expected to be in September 2015.
